Why Do Some Network Marketers Just Get Lucky?

Last night I had the opportunity to go out to my son’s baseball game and just sit back and relax and enjoy the evening. I always love going to baseball games because for some reason I find it a great way to enjoy the company of great friends, and really just sit back and reflect.
So that's what I did. And . . .Looking back over the last few years of this network marketing whirlwind I've been a part of there are a few things I'd like to share with you about your success.
The first thing is simply this . . . Please choose one business and have the intestinal fortitude to stick it out through thick and thin. It will mean the difference between long term stable success and an erractic roller coaster of ups and downs in your business. I know if your business and your goals mean enough to you, you'll understand and follow this advice.
It's easy to go the other route - which is . . .
To start a business for two months and see if it takes off and when it doesn't move on to the next bigger and better thing. Just because it's easy and the grass can look greener doesn't mean it's better. Jumping from business to business is what most network marketers do and it's a big reason why so many get frustrated and eventually give up. If it means enough to you you'll see the long term vision of what your business really is.
It's the opportunity to live the life you want, the way you want, and such a privilege isn't granted easily. But when this freedom is granted it's more than you could ever hope for.
Let me explain by way of introducing myself a bit...
I have tried to follow a healthy lifestyle. I had 6 sons and 1 daughter and I loved being a homemaker and mother. When my youngest child was 5 yrs old I became a single parent to 7. Life was tough financially, and a lot of hard work. I gardened, preserved food, cooked and baked bread, and even home schooled for a while. We managed and I have wonderful kids, of which 3 are married now and the youngest 4 boys are in college with partime jobs.
At 50 I was showing many of the signs of old age. I tried various health diets, but I was getting worse. I am a small person weighing 95 pounds. I was experiencing brain fog, and migraine headaches. I was unsteady on my feet at times and had to hang onto the railing to pull myself upstairs. At night, my legs and arms were often numb with poor circulation, and I've had nerve damage or neuropathy of the feet for the past 7 years. I realized I was headed for severe medical problems.
In April 2006, I was contacted by phone about a nutritional product by a 87 year old stranger, who now is a good friend. She asked me to listen to a 5 minute recorded message. I was really interested, but I wanted a couple of days to check it out thoroughly on the web, afterwhich, I ordered and couldn't wait for it to arrive. I was so excited! The moment it showed up we all came to the table and each of us downed what was in the sample packets. I couldn't believe what that first 1 oz. serving did for me. Within 1 minute, I tingled all over--it was in my cells that fast. Within that very first hour the brain fog cleared and I had energy like when I was in my youth.
Then, within a couple of weeks my unsteadiness left, my circulation was back to normal, the migrain headaches left, and the neuropathy in my feet was gone to the extent that I was able to walk on the gravel in the driveway with my bare feet. My strength came back and I feel young again. Of course, my whole family is now taking it daily, so I decided to make it a successful MLM business. I was so excited about what this product had done for me that I wanted to tell everyone about it, which I did from morning to night, and I started to make some good money with it and I was able to help a lot of people who were not well and watch them improve within days. I also loved being able to earn money from home, just sharing this business with others. My children are extremely important to me, and I love being home with them, providing them a stable home and security. But all that talking to people didn't give me the ultimate MLM success I desired until... I happened upon a powerful system. I never dreamed of what I would find in the process of just sticking with it as an MLM opportunity.
The final point is this . . .In just being there longer you get luckier. I mean there will be times where your business does not move as fast, but there will be times where it will move at light speed because the right person happened into your team.
I can tell you, there is nothing more magic in network marketing than checking your down line report and seeing that someone new that you never met directly just brought in 100 new people into your team. That's when you understand the TRUE power behind it all. And if you don't give yourself and your business enough time for this luck factor to play out it never will.
Just being there, although sometimes you won't feel it directly is moving the forces of success into your favor, there will be a time, most likely when you least expect it - that your drive and your teams drive and consistent effort will be rewarded in ways that you don't directly influence.
That's when they will say out of jealousy. . . "He’s just lucky when XYZ came in and brought in 500 people in 1 month."
But you'll know the truth behind it all. “Yeah you got lucky”, but you got lucky for a reason. You may be thinking . . . "But this can't happen for me." Yes it can if you trust in what I say here to you today and you believe. If I can give you one piece of advice on this beautiful Saturday afternoon, just pick one business and stick it out.
